The Facilities Commission gave notice to proceed with the library renovation. Construction will begin on May 5. Staff will be relocated both within and outside the building. Funds allocated by the Legislature for the renovation do not include funding for furniture, fixtures and equipment, including furniture for 150 staff, public service areas, and compact movable shelving and storage. Fundraising activities for these are part of the goal of the Capital Campaign.
